I hope you had a wonderful week. Welcome back to my blog. This third part focuses on having a sense of fulfillment by finding and knowing the purpose of God for your life.
Let us look at Philippians 3 v 10 – 12 which says “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead. Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus”.
Let us now look at another translation; let us look at the Living bible “Now I have given up everything else. I have found it to be the only way to really know Christ and to experience the mighty power that brought him back to life again, and to find out what it means to suffer and die with him. So whatever it takes I will be one who lives in the fresh newness of life of those who are alive from the dead.
I don’t mean to say I am perfect, I haven’t learned all I should even yet but I keep working toward that day when I will finally be all that Christ saved me for and wants me to be”.
That is powerful! What has Christ saved you for? And what does he want you to be. This is what is meant by finding and knowing the purpose of God for your life.
I recently learnt of a young lady who was on the verge of joining the ring of prostitution but by Divine Providence, a minister of God, gave her a word of knowledge that she should pray there and then and ask God what He wanted her to become. She received that she would become a chef. To cut a long story short, her uncle invited her to be a partner in his business as a chef. She was given fifty per cent of the company. This is what God can do for you. God is able according to Ephesians 3 v 20. He can steer you away from the evil path and place you on the pathway of your God ordained destiny. Do not play second fiddle. Do not settle for second best. You are uniquely created for a purpose. Never forget that.
There was a young man who had two girlfriends; he slept with one and did not touch the other. Someone asked him why he differentiated between the two. He replied that the one he sleeps with is his girlfriend but the other one is going to be his wife. Ladies and guys let us define our purpose.
Don’t let anybody take you for a ride; therefore know who you are in Christ Jesus. You are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. As from today, learn to define your purpose. What you do not value, you will abuse. That is abnormal use, if you do not value your body, you will abuse it and you will allow others to abuse it.
Let us arise and be placed where God has placed us. It is well with you. In Part 4, I want to speak to the single ladies. As a young lady what do you do in the meantime?
Find out in Part 4. Till next time.
