Hello all the singles out there. We are in times that require that we pursue what we really want. A lot of peer pressure, misplaced priorities and lack of direction is causing unnecessary pain to many of our ladies and guys.
We want to look at this today. Whilst waiting for the correct partner, there are certain things we are expected to do.

As the topic is AS A SINGLE, IN THE MEANTIME WHAT DO I DO? we need to really know how we should conduct ourselves in these trying times.

Meantime means meanwhile. We can rephrase this question to read – Meanwhile what do I do?
What does meanwhile mean? It means while waiting for something to happen. What is that something that should happen? MARRIAGE

Today, we have singles in Christ hoping to marry someday, however, there are some like Paul, that have no intention to marry. 1 Corinthians 7 vs 7 says ” For I would that all men were even as myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God , one after this manner and another after that”.

Some singles have vowed never to marry and some have vowed to pay a price and that price is to forego marriage to be able to care for the things that belong to the Lord, how we may please the Lord. 1 Corinthians 7 v 32 says “But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord”.

Some singles however may have vowed never to marry because of the type of marriage their parents had or the lack of marriage their parents had. They have decided that marriage is not worth it. Because your parents marriage was not successful does not mean your own will not be successful.

Some Christians, however, are under spiritual curses whereby covenants have been made either through one cult or the other being made by the parents on behalf of the children. Oh, yes, I have heard of cases whereby marriage comes with sorrow because of the activities of parents in the past.

There is a story of a lady who was a virgin up until her wedding day. Mind you she was not a virgin because she had kept herself away from men. It was quite the contrary. She was a virgin because every man friend she met, once he became close and wanted to know her more intimately, he could not perform- you know what I mean.

When she became born again she eventually found a man who was eager to marry her. But alas! On the wedding night, what happened? He could not PERFORM. Eventually, they sought the advice of a man of God. Their problem was revealed as originating from the father of the lady, who had made a covenant in the past.

Well, the husband summoned enough courage to address his father in law. Initially the father in law tried to dodge the issue and did not want to open up. He eventually confirmed that he had made a covenant whereby no man would enjoy his daughter. To break the covenant, it took God.

I have heard of some women who spiritually wear what we may call a perfume. Ladies use many types of perfumes, but these women are unaware that they are spiritually wearing a perfume that prevents any man from getting too close to them.

They may be very pretty ladies physically and very attractive in as many ways as you can imagine but yet there is no hope of a male partner. In such cases, the ladies need to be delivered from such curses.
