I welcome you to the third week of September 2016. It is my prayer that you will march on to victory this month in Jesus name. This week we will be looking at what it takes to be victorious. Hence, our theme is “ON THE SIDE OF VICTORY”. May you always be victorious in Jesus name.
There are two sides to a coin and there are two types of spirit filled Christians. Those who are victorious and those who are in a constant state of defeat. We know the saying of the VICTOR and the VANQUISHED; the victor being the winner of the battle and the vanquished being the defeated.
We can also recall the western film titled “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly”; films generally depict those who are portrayed to be good, bad and ugly.
You, therefore, need to know the following if you desire to be victorious:-
- You cannot demonstrate God’s power unless you are ready to confront the devil.
- There is no victory without conflict and there is no conquest without warfare.
- If you do not confront the devil, hell will attack you. We are not immune from the devil’s attacks, but we are assured a victorious outcome.
- Be ready to attack; there is no army that wins a war by only defending. Even in football, defending alone does not bring a winning score, that is why some players are appointed as strikers.
- In these last days, we cannot afford to disregard the ministry of conflict; we need to take the battle into the camp of the enemy.
LIFE IS A BATTLE
Even presently the price and acquisition of petrol is a battle. It has resulted in some people parking their cars at home. Graduating from nursery school to primary school is a battle, from primary school to secondary school is another battle; from secondary school to a tertiary institution is another battle; obtaining a job is another battle.
In fact to get to any prominent position is a battle. We have all fought battles or we are presently fighting battles; Salvation DOES NOT MEAN EXEMPTION.
Victory means success, but success based on God’s purpose for your life. Victory is walking and working in God’s vineyard as an overcomer.
In the concluding, part of ON THE SIDE OF VICTORY, we shall be looking at the qualities we need. Have a victorious week.
