Do you know that love needs to be expressed? We know that John 3 v 16 says “For God SO LOVED the world that HE GAVE His ONLY begotten SON that WHOSOEVER believeth on Him should NOT PERISH but HAVE EVERLASTING life.”God not only gave, but He gave sacrificially – He gave His only begotten Son.
We celebrate JESUS this month of December. Oh, some people may focus on the turkeys, chickens and the exquisite dishes they will consume this month but our focus as Christians should be on the love that God shared to mankind. How is your LOVE LIFE? I’m referring to how well you expressed love to others this year.
How many souls did you win for Christ? How many people did you visit this year? How many people did you visit in the hospitals and prisons;
Matthew 25 v 36 says “…. I was sick and ye visited me: I was in prison and ye came unto me….”
December is a month of giving all over the world, especially as concerns Christmas gifts. Let us remember others this December and let us express our love. Our sisters and brothers in the prison are in need of new bibles – you can buy some bibles and bless members of the church and also those in prison.
Some prisoners are in need of food and clothing. Let us reach out this December. Your labour of love will be rewarded.
Remember Proverbs 19 v 17 says “He that has pity on the poor lends to the Lord”. Also remember that God does not owe any man. That which you give to the poor, God Himself will repay you.
Again, James 2 v 15 & 16 says “If a brother or sister be naked and destitute of daily food and one of you say unto them, depart in peace and be warmed and filled; not withstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body: what doth it profit?”
Take your tokens of love to your church and be a blessing to the brethren. Helpers will arise for you too.
