We bless the LORD for the fourth week of September 2016. I trust you had a glorious week. This week our focus is on the qualities we need to be on the side of victory.

So, what are these qualities?

Firstly, we need VIOLENCE. The Greek word for violence means “catching by force”, the devil only understands the language of violence.

Matthew 11v 12 says “And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the Kingdom of Heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”

Matthew 12 v 29 says “Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house.”

Therefore, if you are violent, you take what belongs to you by force. The violence I am talking about here is not physical abuse, but in the Spirit realm, you take what is rightfully yours. Ephesians 6 v 12 tells us that we do not wrestle against flesh and blood.

Violence involves 3 things. I call them the 3 P’s. Let us now look at these things:

  1. PRAYING

A prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. You have to P.U.S.H that is Push until Something Happens. You should not be discouraged, but be encouraged. You have to persist, do not get tired.

James 5 v 16 says “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.”

  2. PRAISING

Psalm 91 v 1 says “He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” This shadow is like an umbrella. If you come out of the umbrella, you are inviting defeat. The time you spend in the secret place determines your strength and success in public.

Psalm 27 v 5 refers to this secret place to receive instruction. “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.”

  3. PROCLAIMING

This is commanding. Job 22 v 28 says “Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.” The LORD has given us a mouth and wisdom which all our adversaries will not be able to gainsay or resist. This is found in Luke 21 v 15 – “For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist.” We should therefore, know our authority and use it. Confess the word on a daily basis and use scriptures against the enemy.

Secondly, we need INTEGRITY. This speaks of holiness. 1 Peter 1 v 15 & 16 says “But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.” You are therefore to be undefiled; you should not live a life of sin.

The unrepentant sinner cannot gain victory; such a person is in bondage. Every hidden sin makes you a laughing stock before the enemy.

1 Timothy 5 v 24 tells us that some sins are known before we depart this earth and some sins are known afterwards – “Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after.” We should therefore REPENT and refuse to wear garments of the past or bear a name that does not bring glory to God.

You should renounce memories of who you used to be.

Thirdly, we need to BE COURAGEOUS. In other words be bold. The righteous in Proverbs 28 v 1 are as bold as a lion. They that do know their God, according to Daniel 11 v 32, shall be strong and do exploits. If you are fearful, you cannot have victory.

May the LORD guide and protect you this week and throughout the remaining part of this year. Remember you were born to be victorious. Never embrace defeat and be confident in that which God has made you to be.

Till next week.
